Short overview: Kyriakos Tsolakis Architects is a practice defined by strategic clarity, social purpose, and a profound belief in architecture’s power to enrich lives and places. Their designs emerge from rigorous analysis of context, purpose and potential, resulting in work that is both soulful and socially meaningful. Across their body of work—from the first purpose-built women’s shelter in Cyprus, designed with care for dignity, safety and community impact, to a rehabilitation retreat for athletes embedded in the mountain—they consistently pursue architecture that is generous, accessible and emotionally resonant. Together, they represent a powerful, future-focused voice in socially driven, imaginative design. Current work includes a wellness space, an embassy building and a memorial. 

Project 1: Troodos Observatory, suspended and embedded within the dramatic mountain landscape, it is both a scientific instrument and a soulful public destination. It invites visitors into a shared experience of wonder—combining low-carbon strategies, careful detailing, and a spatial narrative that encourages curiosity; Project 2: Resort AIR. Short overview: As Co-Founder and Architect at MSSM Associates, he is involved in exploring and continuously researching innovative fields that inform and shape the firm’s design philosophy. MSSM Associates is an international platform with a presence in Cyprus, Indonesia, the UAE, and Australia, where each project emerges from the interconnection of diverse cultures, academic backgrounds, and professional experiences. Since founding MSSM Associates in Cyprus in 2017, his portfolio has expanded to include a wide range of residential projects, as well as commercial, touristic, and public works. Today, MSSM Associates holds a strong record of international achievements, including multiple international awards.

Georgios Kalavas, Director Agisilaou & Kalavas Architectural Workshop Cyprus. Winner in the Completed Buildings Category (Culture, Heritage) - SHARE Architecture Awards 2025 

Short overview: Graduate of the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In 1994 he co-founded Agisilaou & Kalavas Architectural Workshop with Yiannis Agisilaou. He has participated in and received distinctions in architectural competitions. In 2016 he was awarded, together with Yiannis Agisilaou, the Cyprus Architecture State Award in the category “Outstanding Architectural Work” for the project “House in a Half Plot in Engomi.” He has served as a member of juries for architectural competitions. From time to time, he contributes articles to the daily press and architectural publications on topics related to architecture

Project 1: "Aphrodite" Thematic Route, Ineia, Paphos, (Route through nature, leading from the village of Ineia in the Paphos District to the Akamas National Park (an area within the "European Ecological Network Natura 2000"), featuring points of archaeological, cultural, and environmental interest, with designated stops and resting areas, scenic viewpoints, where the natural element is dominant and human intervention and presence are subordinate to the landscape).

Clement Blanchet,  founder Clement Blanchet Architecture [cba] France

Short overview:  Clément Blanchet is a French architect, urbanist, teacher, and critic whose work operates across scales, disciplines, and geographies, from furniture and interior design to major public buildings, infrastructure, and large territorial strategies. His practice combines conceptual research with construction, positioning architecture as both a cultural act and a tool for transformation. Blanchet began his career at Rem Koolhaas’s Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) in 2004, where he became an associate in 2008 and was appointed Director of OMA France in 2011. Over a decade of close collaboration with Koolhaas, he played a central role in the development of OMA’s work in France and Europe. He led strategic research and competition-winning projects for Paris’s La Défense district, including the landmark proposals for the Tour Phare and Tour Signal, and co-authored the manifesto Mémorandum La Défense with Koolhaas. His work at OMA also includes the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion in London (2006), the Alexis de Tocqueville Library in Caen, the Toulouse Convention and Exhibition Center (PEX), the CentraleSupélec engineering campus, and the Simone Veil Bridge in Bordeaux. This period established his reputation for combining urban vision, architectural clarity, and experimental thinking. In 2014, Clément Blanchet founded Clément Blanchet Architecture (CBA) in Paris. Recent and ongoing projects include the urban masterplan for the HEC Paris campus, the design of Red Star Football Club’s historic Bauer Stadium in Saint-Ouen, and an institutional headquarters in Sicily.

Maurizio Meossi,  Associate Director ZAHA Hadid Architects

Short overview: Maurizio joined Zaha Hadid Architects in 2002, working primarily as a 3D designer for several international competitions. He moved to Italy in the same year to join the team working on the MAXII Museum of Contemporary Arts. After a few years where he worked for structural engineers GPA engineering, Maurizio re-joined the ZHA’s Rome office in 2006 as project architect for the Milan Citylife residential project, completed in 2013. Now in London, Maurizio became an Associate Director in 2020. Maurizio received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Florence in Italy and earned his Master of Architecture and Urbanism from the Design Research Laboratory (DRL) at the Architectural Association (AA) in London. He has taught at the University of Florence and frequently serves as an invited lecturer and critic at various Italian and American universities. A dedicated writer, he was Lead Editor of an architectural magazine from 2000 to 2009. EXPERIENCE Maurizio has worked on some of ZHA’s largest-scale residential projects across the world, including Italy, Australia, and Mexico. In Italy, he successfully led the design team for the residential cluster of buildings that form the new CityLife complex in Milan. Completed in 2014, the project is formed of 6 medium-rise towers organised around a wide green.

These can generate a unique project in terms of its materiality and formal articulation; a product of the specifics derived from 3 key parameters: site, client and program. 

Jeremy Smith,  Design Director Irving Smith Architects, New Zealand

Short overview:  Irving Smith Architects is a research-based design practice working in sensitive environments throughout New Zealand and abroad. Key to Jeremy’s practice, teaching, and research, is understanding how buildings inhabit an environment that constantly undergoes change, be it in city or rural landscapes. Recognitions:  In his role as Design Director, Jeremy has led a range of design innovations, including winning The Most Beautiful, Innovative and Iconic Building, Dubai International Best Practices Award for Sustainable Development at the United Nations World Governments Summit in Dubai, UAE 2024, World Timber Building of the Year and World Higher Education and Research Building of the Year at the 2021 World Architecture Festival, a Laureate of the 2021 Eurasian Prize for Architecture, the 2021 Best of the Best Green Building Prize at the Masterprize Architecture Awards, the 2021 Architizer A+ Wood & Architecture Award, The Building at the 2021 Indo-Pacific INDE Awards, a Judges Special Award at the 2020 Taipei International Design Awards, a 2019 UNESCO Award of Distinction at the Asia-Pacific Cultural Heritage Awards in Penang, WAF World Villa of the Year at the 2017 World Architecture Festival. Publications include Architecture Magazine, Architecture Record, Elle, Vogue and GQ Magazine, and most recently, a book with American critic and author Aaron Betsky entitled Unfinished and Far Far Away.
